Ingredients
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 med onion, peeled, chopped
- 1 cup converted rice
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, minced
- 2 med cloves garlic, minced
Preparation
Step 1
Place the bouillon cubes, water, salt, pepper, thyme, rice and chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours. Before serving: in a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the parsley and garlic, stirring constantly, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle over the chicken casserole and serve.
