Smoothie: TGI Fridays: Gold Medalist

Coconut and pineapple, blended with grenadine, strawberries and bananas.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces chopped hulled strawberries, fresh or frozen (and slightly thawed)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 Tbsp. pina colada mix
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut cream
  • 1/4 cup grenadine
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 fresh strawberries (for garnish)

Preparation

Step 1

Add sugar to chopped strawberries and allow to macerate for a couple of minutes. Pour all the ingredients except the 2 fresh strawberries in the order listed into a blender and blend on high speed for 15-30 seconds or until all the ice is crushed and the drink is smooth. Garnish each drink with a fresh strawberry.
