Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust
  • 12 slices bacon, crisply fried and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded natural Swiss cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne red pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Place pastry in quiche dish. Sprinkle with bacon, cheese and onion. Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture into quiche dish. Cook uncovered in 425º oven for 15 minutes.
Reduce oven to 300º. Cook uncovered for approx. 30 minutes longer. Quiche will be done when a knife comes out clean after being inserted into center of quiche. Let quiche stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
