Ice Box Dessert

This is a very good dessert that Kathy Hoffman made to bring to a basketball dinner that we had at our house.

Ingredients
- 3/4 package oreos
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 gallon vanilla ice cream
- 1 large can of carnation milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2-3 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter
Preparation
Step 1
In a heavy kettle, cook carnation milk, sugar, butter, and chocolate. Boil it for 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly, until it gets thick. Put mixture aside and let it cool completely. Crush the oreos and mix it together with the melted butter. Put oreos into the bottom of a 9x13 pan and freeze. Let the ice cream thaw a little bit then put that over the frozen cookie crust. Freeze again. When the chocolate mixture is completely cool, pour over the frozen ice cream and freeze again. Let it sit out for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
