Rosettes

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 T cornstarch, in place of flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c milk, maybe more
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 tsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs lightly, add sugar and salt, then milk and flour. Beat until smooth. Let stand several minutes, strain. Let stand at room temperature some time before frying. (Cuts down on blisters)

If rosette doesn't come off, not done.
If drops off too soon, iron to hot.
If large blisters, egg beaten too much.
