Mustard Brisket

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs brisket
  • hot mustard
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 shots bourbon
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup beef flavored bouillon
  • 1 lb mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Rub brisket with hot mustard. Roast in pan at 500 for 20 minutes. Remove brisket. Replace brisket in pan. Cover. Roast 325 for 2 1/2 hours. Meanwhile saute 1 lb. mushrooms. Remove. Thicken gravy with cornstarch in pan.
Refrigerate brisket and gravy. Remove fat from gravy. Slice roast and place roast and mushrooms in pan.
Cover. Heat to serve.
