Grits

Ingredients

  • Stick of butter
  • 2 cups water
  • 2/3 - 3/4 brick of mexican velvetta or garlic cheese
  • one cup QUICK grits
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Melt 1 stickof butter and 2 cups of water in a pot. Add 2/3 to 3/4 brick of Mexican velveeta or garlic cheese. Cook until melted. Add 1 cup of Quick grits (not regular), stirring constantly until they become thick.

Whisk 2 eggs in a separate bowl then add however much milk it takes to make 1 cup with the eggs.

Mix eggs/milk mixture with grits. Pour into a pyrex dish.

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
