Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 4 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/3 cup chopped dried apples
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray jelly-roll pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl combine oats, almonds, and pecans. In a small saucepan bring brown sugar, maple syrup, water, and salt to boiling. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Stir sugar mixture into oat mixture and toss until evenly coated. Evenly spread on prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Rove pan from oven and stir in apples and cranberries. Place on rack to cool completely. Store granola in airtight container at room temperature.
