Butter Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour salt sugar in food processor. Add butter. Process 8 to 10 seconds until mixture resembles coarse meal.

Add ice water slowly until dough just holds together.

Wrap dough into plastic wrap. Press into two circles. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
