CHILI CON QUESO

MEXICAN CHEESE DIP

Ingredients

  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
  • 1 8 0z. can Tomatoes and Green Chilies
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 lb. Velveeta Cheese, cut into cubes
  • Chili Powder to taste
  • Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dash of Tabasco Sauce (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion and garlic in bacon drippings in saucepan until onion is tender. Drain 2 tablespoons liquid from tomatoes and green chilies; reserve. Add remaining tomatoes and green chillies to onion mixture; bring to a boil. Mix flour and reserved juice; stir into tomato mixture. Add cheese, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce; cook, stirring, until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips, tostados and corn chips.
