Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 skinless boneless chicken breast
- 24 mushrooms
- 8 green onions
Preparation
Step 1
Mix first 5 ingredients together in deep bowl.
Cut chicken into bite size pieces. Mushroom stems can either be removed or left intact. Cut onions into 1 inch pieces. Put chicken, mushrooms and onion into soy sauce mixture in bowl. Let stand for 30 minutes.
Thread skewers (presoak wooden skewers 30 minutes). Use long skewers for the main course or short ones for appetizers. Cook over hot grill. Turn and baste often with remaining sauce. Total time, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 4 main course servings or 8 appetizers.
