Moist raisin cookies

Ingredients

• Raisin mix:
• 2 cups raisins
• 1 tsp baking soda
• Cookie mix:
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 4 cups flour
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Wash 2 cups raisins, drain, and boil in 1 cup water. Cool and add 1 tsp baking soda, set aside.

Mix together cookie mix ingredients. Fold in raisin mix. Drop in rounded spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 min. at 375 degrees.
