Ingredients
- Base: 1 1/2 C Pillsbury BEST Unbleached all-purpose flour
- 2/3 C sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 C margarine or butter, softened
- 4 C sliced, peeled apples (about 4 medium)
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Topping: 1/2 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 C evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 C chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 C coconut

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, 1/3 C of the sugar and salt. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Press into bottom of ungreased 9x13 pan. Arrange apple slices over base. Sprinkle with lemon juice, remaining 1/2 C sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 25 minutes. Meanwhile in small bowl, combine topping ingredients. Sprinkle over partially baked apple mixture. Bake an additional 25 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
