Pepper steak

Very tender and flavorful, this recipe is one of our family's favorites. It's great to make ahead of time in the slow cooker and then serve over rice, egg noodles, or chow mein

Ingredients

  • 2

    pounds beef sirloin, cut into thin strips

  • 1

    small can of mushrooms

  • 1

    beef bouillon cube

  • 2

    tbsp soy sauce

  • 1

    tbsp sugar

  • ¼

    tsp garlic salt

  • 1

    dash of pepper

  • 3

    tbsp vegetable oil

  • ¼

    cup hot water

  • 2

    large green peppers, cut into pieces

Directions

In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the sirloin strips, transfer to crock pot. Mix beef bouillon cube in hot water until dissolved and then add to crock pot. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 4-6 hours.
