Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1 TBSP. white vinegar
  • 1 TBSP. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 TBSP. Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 TBSP. dark brown sugar
  • 4 hamburger buns

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, saute' ground chuck and onion over moderately high heat, stirring occasionally and breaking up lumps, until meat is no longer pink, about 8 minutes.

Stir in ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, paprika, sugar, and salt and pepper to taste and cook, uncovered, over low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes.
