Ingredients
- 1 tube (16 1/2 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 4 tsp almond extract
- 8 oz sliced almonds
- 4 eggs
- 2/3 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Coat a 13x9x2" baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Knead cookie dough with flour and 2 tsp of the almond extract until smooth. Press evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan, forming a slight lip at edges. Sprinkle almonds evenly over the top.
In small bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar and the remaining 2 tsp of almond extract. Pour over almonds. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 min. Cool in pan on wire rack.
When cool, loosen edges with a small paring knife and gently remove from pan. Cut into diamonds.
