Apple-Mushroom Slow Cooker Swiss Steak

Ingredients
- 1 cup Apple Butter
- 1 10.75-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 2 pounds boneless beef round steak, cut into serving size pieces
- 1 8-ounce container button mushrooms, sliced

Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients except onions, steak and mushrooms in large bowl to make apple butter mixture.
Place onions in bottom of 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker.
Layer on top with half of the steak pieces and then half of the mushrooms. Pour half of the apple butter mixture over the top.
Repeat the layers adding steak pieces, then remaining mushrooms and apple butter mixture.
Cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until meat is fork tender.
