Ingredients

• 1 cup shortening
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 3/4 cups flour
• 2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cream sugar and shortening, beat in eggs. add sifted dry ingredients.

Roll into 1 - inch balls, dip into mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

Bake 10-12 minutes. Cookies will puff up and flatten out.
