Ingredients
- Split Pea Soup
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. dried split peas
- 2 cups diced lean ham
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 carrots, peeled & sliced (omit in Phase 1)
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 6 cups water
Preparation
Step 1
Saute onion, garlic, carrots, celery & ham in olive oil. Add bay leaf, and split peas then add water. Bring to boil and simmer about 1 hour.
