Split Pea Soup

  • Split Pea Soup
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. dried split peas
  • 2 cups diced lean ham
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 carrots, peeled & sliced (omit in Phase 1)
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 cups water

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion, garlic, carrots, celery & ham in olive oil. Add bay leaf, and split peas then add water. Bring to boil and simmer about 1 hour.
