Ingredients
- 1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
- 1/2 c sugar
- 4 t cornstarch
- 2 t cinnamon
- 4 c thinly sliced, peeled apples (about 4 med apples)
- 1 t sugar
- 2 T chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 450. Remove pie crust from pouch; place crust flat on ungreased cookie sheet. If necessary, press out folds or creases.
In medium bowl, mix 1/2 c sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Gently stir in apples. Spoon onto center of crust, spreading to within 2 inches of edge. Fold edge of crust over filling, ruffling decoratively. Brush crust edge with water; sprinkle with 1 t sugar.
Bake 15 min or until crust is golden brown. Sprinkle nuts over apple mixture and bake 5-15 min longer or until apples are tender.
