Cherry Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, drained and chopped (save juice)
  • 1/2 cup combined juice and water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons margarine melted
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients. Stir in liquid, egg, and magarine. Add cherries and nuts. Pour into greased, floured loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Let cool slightly.
