Bread Amish Style

Not sure if it classifies as an AMISH recipe, but it turned out a fairly decent loaf of bread. I used a bread machine for this.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (use a thermometer, 110 degrees)
  • 1 Tbsp lard or cooking oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pk. dry yeast
  • 2 3/4 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix first five ingredients until yeast dissolves.
Add to machine, then add flour on top. Bake as per your normal settings for white bread.
