Apricot Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 15oz cans apricot halves
  • 1/3 cup walnut pieces, lightly sauteed

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Melt butter in baking dish.
Combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, spices, and milk.
Pour batter over butter.
Combine drained apricots, orange zest, and walnuts; pour over batter.
Do not stir. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup sugar over mixture.
Bake about 45 minutes.
Serve warm with cream.
