Recipe for Chris and Denise

Ingredients

  • Denise:
  • 4 lbs of elbow noodles, cooked and divided
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 block of sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 block of pepper jack cheese. grated
  • Christopher:
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 c. lactose free milk
  • 2 blocks of veggie cheese, grated
  • strips of bacon, cooked and chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Cook noodles in a large pot and drain. Divide between two large bowls.

In another pot, melt butter and then add the rest of the sauce ingredients except cheese. When bubbly and thickened, add some of the cheese to the sauce. Leave some for the top of the casseroles. Pour mixture into the bowl and mix with the noodles. Pour into greased 13x9 pan and top with remaining cheese.

For Christopher's, add some of the bacon to the sauce and sprinkle the rest with the remaining cheese on the top. Add additional black pepper to the dish.

Do the same with Christopher's sauce and mix together. Pour into another 13x9 dish.

Bake both at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
