Ingredients
- 2 c quick quaker oats, or 2 1/4 c old fashioned oats, uncooked
- 1/3 c granulated sugar
- 3 1/3 c fat free milk
- 1/2 c liquid egg substitute with yolk or 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 2 t vanilla
- 1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350. Spray 8 inch square glass pan with cooking spray.
Combine oats and granulated sugar in large bowl. Combine milk, egg and vanilla in med bowl; mix well. Add to oat mixture and mix well. Pour into baking dish.
Bake 40-45 min or until center jiggles slightly. Remove from oven to wire rack.
Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over top of oatmeal. Using back of spoon, gently spread into thin layer across entire surface of oatmeal. return to oven; bake just until sugar melts, about 2-3 min. set oven to broil. Broil 3 inches from heat until sugar bubbles and browns slightly 1 -2 min. Watch carefully to prevent burning. It may may be necessary to turn baking dish. Spoon into bowls to serve.
