Ingredients
- 1/2 pound tomatillos (husked, rinsed, chopped)
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 small garlic cloves ( coarsely chopped)
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 fresh Serrano or jalapeño chillies coarsely chopped including seeds or more to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice to taste
- 1 small hass avocado halved and pitted
Preparation
Step 1
Put tomatillos in blender first, then add cilantro , garlic, onion, salt , chilies and lime juice. Blend until very smooth , at least one minute. Be patient. The blades might not catch the tomatillos right away. With a spoon, scoop the avocado flesh into the blender, and blend until smooth. Season to taste with additional chillies, lime juice, and salt and blend once more.
