Ingredients
- Potatoes 4 C
- celery 1 C
- onion - finely chopped 1 large
- cooked ham 1C
- chicken broth 4 C
- salt & pepper
- butter 5 TB
- all purpose flour 5 TB
- milk 2 C
- toppings
- shredded cheddar
- fresh green onion (chives)
Preparation
Step 1
combine potatoes, celery, onion, ham & broth in a stock pot & boil until the potatoes are tender
add salt and pepper to taste
in separate pan melt butter
whisk in flour until thick
stir in milk
combine milk mixture into broth
stop with shredded cheddar & fresh chives
