Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef tenderloin or sirloin steak
  • 1/4 c. butter or marg.
  • 1 can (6oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 cans' (10 1/2 oz each) beef broth
  • 1/4 c. instant minced onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 8-10 oz. uncooked med noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Cut meat across the grain into 3/4 " slices, then into strips 3x1/4. Melt butter in lg. skillet. Cook and stir mushrooms about 5 min.
Remove mushrooms.
In same skillet, brown meat. Reserving 2/3 c. of the broth, stir it the remaining broth, onion, catsup and garlic salt. Cover and simmer 15 min. blend reserved broth an the flour. Stir into meat. Add mushrooms and heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 min. Stir in sour cream and heat through.
Cook noodles as directed on the package. Drain and toss with butter--optional.
