Preparation

Step 1

Replacing Sugar with Honey:
1 Cup of Sugar = 3/4 Cup of Honey
1 Tbsp. of Sugar = 3/4 Tbsp. of Honey
1 tsp. of Sugar = 3/4 tsp. of Honey
Decrease liquid by 2-4 tablespoons, add a pinch of baking soda and decrease oven temperature by 25 degrees.

Replacing Sugar with Stevia:
1 Cup of Sugar = 1 tsp. of Stevia
1 Tbsp. of Sugar = 1/8 tsp. of Stevia
1 tsp. of Sugar = a pinch of Stevia
To replace bulk. add applesauce. apple butter or yogurt.

Replacing Sugar with Xylitol:
1 Cup of Sugar = 3/8 Cup of Xylitol
1 Tbsp. of Sugar = 3/8 Tbsp. of Xylitol
1 tsp. of Sugar = 3/8 tsp. of Xylitol
WARNING:Xylitol is safe for people, but HARMFUL TO DOGS. DO NOT FEED TO PETS.

Replacing Sugar with Maple Syrup:
1 Cup of Sugar = 3/4 Cup of Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp. of Sugar = 3/4 Tbsp. of Maple Syrup
1 tsp. of Sugar = 3/4 tsp. of Maple Syrup
Decrease liquid by 3 tablespoons, add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda per cup of syrup and decrease oven temperature by 25 degrees.

Replacing Sugar with Agave:
Measure 2/3 cup of agave syrup for every cup of granulated sugar called for in your recipe. Reduce the other liquids in your recipe by 1/4 to 1/3 cup if it originally called for white sugar, or by 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup if it originally called for brown sugar.
