Ingredients
- 1 package white cake mix
- 1 3 ounce package strawberry jello
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup salad oil (vegetable)
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 Degrees. Grease and flour 9 x 13 x 2 pan. Place cake mix, jello, flour, eggs and water in large mixing bowl and beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add the strawberries and juice and beat 1 minute. Add salad oil and beat 1 minute more. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Frosting--1/2 cup butter, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1 package powdered sugar,(which equals 4 cups powered sugar) 1/2 cup frozen strawberries.
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy, blend in strawberries. Spread on cooled cake.
Can poke holes in cake with a handle of a wooden spoon and then pour icing over it so it will soak into cake.
Keep cak in refrigerator. It is really great on a hot summer day.
