Corn Chowder

By

I received this recipe from a lady at church. I think it would taste even better if you add some bacon.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of potato soup
  • 3 cans whole white potatoes, drained
  • 3 cans whole kernel corn , drained
  • 1 ring smoked beef sausage or polska kielbasa
  • 1 cup sauteed celery, onion, and bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • dash salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Preparation

Step 1

1.Boil sausage for about 15 minutes. Slice it into rings then into half moons.

2.Saute celery, onion, and bell peppers in butter.

3.In a large pot, combine dry seasonings and soups with two cans of milk for each can of soup used. Cut potatoes into four sections and put in pot. Add corn, sauteed veggies and sausage, stir and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes.

4.Garnish with shredded cheese and oyster crackers, or seasoned croutons. Enjoy.
