Icing - glossy for cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • juice fro half a medium lemon
  • (if you don't want the lemony flavor use milk instead)
  • 2 teaspoons light corn syrup (Karo)
  • food coloring can be added for fun (This picture is an LSU cake! GO TIGERS!)

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl with a risk, mix liquid and sugar. Wisk until smooth. you want a thick smooth texture. Start with a little milk and add more as needed. Now add corn syrup and stir. you want it to be fluid enough to drizzle over cake but not so thin that it runs off. Be sure cake is cooled before icing. Pour mixture into a ziplock and snip a corner off. Squeeze onto cake. Have fun!
