Italian Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • TOPPING:
  • 1 LB grd. beef
  • 1 med. onion, finely chopped
  • 2 C marinara sauce
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 C flour
  • 1/4 C grated parmesan cheese
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/2 C 2% milk
  • 1/4 C butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

in lg. skillet, cook beef & onion over med heat until meat is no longer pink
drain
add marinara sauce, S & P
cook & stir for 8-10 min or until thickened
spoon into casserole
set aside

in sm. bowl, combine dry ingredients
stir in milk & butter just until moistened
spoon dough over meat mix.

bake @ 450 for 12-15 min or until golden brown
