Ingredients
- CRUST:
- Oven Temperature: 450 degrees
- 6 egg whites
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- FILLING:
- 2-3 oz. Swiss chocolate bars
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 tbsp. warm water
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2/3 cup chopped pecans
- whipped cream for topping
Preparation
Step 1
CRUST:
Beat egg whites and add sugar slowly. Add salt, cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat until stiff and glossy. Place in a 10 or 11 inch glass pie plate. Put in oven and turn off immediately. Leave overnight.
FILLING:
Melt chocolate bars, vanilla and water in a saucepan. Cool. Whip heavy cream and fold into chocolate mixture. Fold in pecans. Place in cooled shell and refrigerate. Top with whipped cream and serve.
