Ingredients
- 1/4 lb ground beef
- 1 c (half a 21 oz can) drained seasoned pinto beans, such as Bush's Texas Ranchero
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1-1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 6 oz fusilli, cooked (1-1/2 c cooking water reserved)
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 c grated cheddar cheese
- 4 scallions, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
In a cast-iron skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat, breaking up with a wooden spoon, 5 minutes.
Stir in next 3 ingredients; season.
In a saucepan, whisk pasta water and flour; bring to a boil.
Add pasta and cheese; stir over medium heat 3 minutes. Season.
Top with chili and scallions.
