Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups broken dried bread pieces
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • VANILLA SAUCE
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all pudding ingredients together, place in a casserole dish, and bake for one hour.

For topping, in a small saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil and boil for one minute. Add butter and vanilla and stir until butter is melted.

Pass the vanilla sauce to be poured over warm bread pudding when served.
