La Chatelaine French Toast

Ingredients

  • 8 slices brioche bread
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Butter for cooking
  • Whipped cream, fresh fruit and powdered sugar, for dusting

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk together cream,milk,eggs,sugar, and vanilla. Dip bread into batter. Fry in melted butter in skillet or on a griddle set at 350. Flip to cook evenly.

Garnish with fruit, whipped cream and a healthy dusting of powdered sugar.
