Butter Cream Icing

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (not right from the fridge)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbs milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla



Step 1

Cream shortening and butter/margarine. Add sugar, milk and vanilla. Blend on medium speed until well mixed.

(sugar does not need sifted. Full 4 cups may not be needed. Freezes well.)
