Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 10 ounce maraschino cherries, drained & chopped
- 1 cup pecans, chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Cream together sugar, butter and eggs. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and buttermilk to creamed mixture. Beat until blended. Stir in pecans, cherries, and vanilla. Pour batter into greased 9 by 5 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Remove from pan and cool. Glaze with icing.
