- 6-8 Large Lemons
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 2 Quarts Water
- Ice

Step 1
Before cutting, roll each lemon along your countertop by hand. Next, cut each lemon half and squeeze through a strainer into a small bowl. This should net you about 1 1/2 to 2 cups of lemon juice. Then, in a small saucepan over high heat bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Slowly stir in the sugar, then reduce heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice while water is still warm to form a lemony syrup. Let syrup mixture cool, then add to the remaining (cold) water; stir well. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices to get the full effect.
