Ingredients
- sliced sour dough bread (24oz)
- 2 eggs
- 2 C half & half
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 C soft butter
- 1-1/3 C brown sugar
- 3 TBL dark corn syrup
- 1-1/2 C walnuts (chopped)
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
cut sliced french bread in 1" strips -
enough to fit in a 9X13" pan
beat next 5 ingredients together
pour over bread
let sit overnite
TOPPING:
combine next 4 ingredients
spread over bread & egg mixture
bake @350 for 50 min
sprinkle w/ powdered sugar before serving
