Ingredients
- 5 lbs potatoes, sliced or cubed
- 8 TBS flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 onion minced (or dry minced onion)1 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Peel and slice /cube potatoes. Melt butter, add onion and flour and cook for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn flour. Slowly add milk. Add cheese and sir until melted.
Coat bottom of large casserole dish with cheese mixture. If potatoes are sliced add a layer of potatoes followed by addition of cheese mixture, layer of potato, cheese mixture. For cubed potatoes mix potatoes well with cheese sauce.
Bake at 350 degrees for at least 1 hour until done
