Chocolate Icing

Ingredients

  • 2 squares (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter or shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate and butter over heat. Blend sugar, salt, milk and vanilla. Blend in the chocolate mixture. Let stand until consistancy to spread.

Will frost one 13x9 cake. For layer cake, use 3 squares chocolate and double other ingredients.
