Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding 3 oz
  • 4 each eggs
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Glaze frosting
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ounce rum
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

MIX the first 6 ingredients about 2 minutes combining well. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of a greased tube or bundt pan. Pour in the batter and bake in 325 oven for one hour.

NEAR the end of baking time boil the butter, sugar, and water for one minute. Remove from heat and add the one ounce of rum.

REMOVE the cake from oven and pierce top thoroughly with toothpick. Pour glaze over top immediately.
