Ingredients

  • 2 cans, 6 oz each, crab meat
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs, divided
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1 T butter

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl combine crab, 1/3 cup crumbs, egg, onions, red pepper, mayo, lemon juice, garlic powder and cayenne
Divide mixture into eight portions, shape into 2 in. balls. Roll in crumbs and flatten to 1/2 inch thickness.
In nonstick skillet cook crab cakes 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
