  • 2 Cups Flour, sifted
  • 1 Tbs. Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3/4 Cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Stick Butter, melted
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Next, stir in vegetable oil; then add buttermilk. Stir until blended. On a lightly floured surface, knead your dough until smooth. Roll out your dough into a 15" x 8" rectangle. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon and blend well. Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mixture on top. Roll the dough lengthwise and pinch seam to seal. Cut the roll into 1 1/2" slices and arrange slices, cut side up, in a greased 9" round baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Yield: 1 dozen.
