Cookies, Chocolate Chunk

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup ( 1 1/2 sticks) butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 package (Baker's Milk Chocolate Chunks
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl; set aside. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or just until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Remove to wire racks and cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen.
