Pie, Mother's chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 precooked pie shell.
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch and
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Milnot
  • 4 slightly beaten egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, flour, and salt. Graduallly stir in milk. Chop 2 1/2 ounce square of unsweetened chocolate. Add to milk. Cook and stir over med. Heat until bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes stirring constantlly. Cook till thick. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into cooled cooked pie shell. Spread meringue on top.
