Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening (Crisco)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup reg or crunchy peanut butter. I always used crunchy Peter Pan
- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
Throroughly cream shortening, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoon (rounded) on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of floured fork to make crisscrosses.
I liked to sprinkle them with a little granulated sugar just before putting them into oven. Delicioius!!!
