Fudge, Million Dollar Fudge

Ingredients

  • Makes 7 lbs. of fudge
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 ( 13 ounce) can evaporated milk (Pet milk or Carnation Milk not condensed milk.)
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 2 (6 ounce) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 pint of marshmellow cream. I always liked Kraft Brand
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 4 LARGE HERSHEY bars 4 1/2 ounces each.

Preparation

Step 1

Boil together over medium heat the sugar, milk, and butter for 8 minutes (Wait until it comes to a boil) stirring constantly.

Place candy and chocolate chips in very large bowl. Break up large chocolate bars into smaller pieces.
Pour over the sugar-milk mixture. Beat well. Add the marshmellow cream and nuts. Beat until cool. Spreadin 9" x 12" pan. Cool and cut in squares. Amount: 7 pounds

Tip: cut while still warm and place 1/2 pecan piece on each square.
